i am like you,
seeking pleasure to
distract myself from the solitude
of being in cased in the blood
suit.
meaning no harm,
but often doing no good.
knowing how hard life is and
how difficult it is at times to
be the kindest and best version
of yourself.
all the mistakes we make,
the carpet of suffering we
weave.
i think of how i might have hurt
others and feel a mix of dread and
embarrassment.
my intention was never to hurt
and knowing my regret
at the pains i may have caused
i feel generous enough to
forgive the pains that others may
have caused me.
